7 institutions were recognized for their Digital Steps at Connecting the State this year.
We congratulate the award winners on their success, and we thank them for their cooperation during the last year and look forward to continued collaboration.

9 Digital Steps
Three institutions have now taken all the steps, but they are: Digital mailbox, Ísland.is login system, Ísland.is Application system, My pages on Ísland.is, website on Ísland.is, chatbot Askur, service website, Ísland.is app and X-road.

8 Digital Steps
The Financial Management Authority has taken all digital steps except for Ask, of which 2 steps were taken last year.
The Social Insurance Administration has also taken all digital steps except ASK and has taken 6 steps in the last year.
The Directorate of Labour has taken one step since last year and is now missing the chatter Ask, but the agency has the Ísland.is Service System is in process.

The Housing and Construction Authority has added one step since last year and now needs a website and Ask to get the full house.
The Directorate of Immigration took one Digital Step the past year..

6 Digital Steps
The Directorate of Fisheries.
The Police have six steps and three steps in the process.
Register Iceland is new this year, and the seventh step is underway.
The University of Iceland is also new to the six-step list.
Three institutions have taken five steps: Iceland Revenue and Customs, the Directorate of Labour, and the Icelandic Road Administration. Special recognition was made to the fact that the Iceland Revenue and Customs and Digital Iceland are in close collaboration, with many steps in progress. It is exciting to see how many of these steps they will complete in the next year.
The Digital Steps are an incentive award for public sector entities, intended to promote the utilization of investment and the government's goals by recognizing those public sector entities that use open and common tools developed by Digital Iceland.
The Digital Steps award was awarded for the first time in 2022, with nine steps.
On the website of Digital Iceland, institutions can look up and monitor the digital steps they have taken with Digital Iceland. It should be noted that not all steps apply to all institutions and that steps will evolve over time.
