The Digital Steps are an incentive award for public sector entities and are intended to promote the utilization of investment and the goals of the Ministry by recognizing those public sector entities that use open and common tools developed by Digital Iceland.

The Digital Steps award was awarded for the first time in 2022, with nine steps.

On the website of Digital Iceland, institutions can look up and monitor the digital steps they have taken with Digital Iceland. It should be noted that not all steps apply to all institutions and that steps will evolve over time..
