Application for the European Health Insurance Card and information on My pages
Iceland Health has worked with Digital Iceland on numerous projects related to digitization in recent years.
This has resulted in a new website, an application for ealth Insurance and notification of accidents.
In early June, a project to submit an application for the European Health Insurance Card to Ísland.is application system was completed. This project has been carried out with Digital Iceland and Birds and involved creating a user-friendly interface to apply for the European Health Insurance Card and also working on communicating the data through the X-Road. It was a great success in redesigning an older career in a modern interface.
Iceland Health and Digital Iceland have also worked closely together in passing on information that is now contained in Réttindagátt to My pages in Ísland.is. The project is carried out with Hugsmiðjan, which has an interface in My pages under Health, and Iceland Health provides a media through X-Road from their own back-end systems. The first two categories of cases have already been submitted to Health on My Pages on Ísland.is. This includes information on physical, occupational and speech therapy, and on the other hand on aids and nutrition. This summer, work is underway to make information on dentists and health care accessible on my pages in Ísland.is and with the autumn, information on medicines will be added. The icing on the cake is that the information from Iceland Health is in both Icelandic and English on My pages.
