Information for defendants
Appeals
A person who has been convicted by a district court may appeal to the Court of Appeals if:
they have been sentenced to prison,
or to pay a fine,
or be subject to confiscation of property which reaches the amount of the appeal in a civil case.
An appeal must be lodged in a letter notice which must be received by the Director of Public Prosecutions within four weeks of the court's publication, if publication was necessary, and otherwise within four weeks of the court's summons.
