I use continuous glucose monitoring sensor that scans blood sugar, how many blood test strips and blood lancets do I get subsidised?
The approved amount of blood test strips and blood lancets depends on the type of sensor used and whether an insulin pump is also used alongside Guardian sensors.
For those who use Guardian sensors, 750 pieces of blood test strips/blood lancets over a 12-month period are subsidised, and 2.500 pieces if an insulin pump is also used.
For those who use Dexcom sensors, 200 pieces of blood test strips/blood lancets over a 12-month period are subsidised.
