Can you apply for a grant to purchase nutrition and special diet?
Yes, vital nutrients and dietary foods are subsidized when disease or the consequences of accidents cause significant problems in food intake and absorption of nutrients and when there is a long-term need or at least for three months.
A physician, dietician or other healthcare practitioner shall assess a need and send an electronic application from Gagnagátt or Saga medical record. In the case of children's milk allergy, allergy must be confirmed by an allergist, paediatrician or gastroenterologist.
