A parking card for people with reduced mobility can be applied for through Ísland.is with electronic ID. Before an application is made a doctor needs to submit a medical certificate electronically. This applies both to initial applications, as well as to renewals.

If the applicant does not have electronic identification, an application can be made at the district commissioner's office where the applicant lives. The medical certificate should be sent electronically if possible.

There is no fee for the issuance of a parking card.
