You need to apply for an increased driving privileges(higher categories) at the commissioner's office. An must be submitted for each exam you intend to take, if applications are filled out elsewhere than at the commissioner's office, general information can be filled in but the application must be signed at the commissioner's office.

A medical certificate from a general practitioner (may not be older than three months) must always be submitted when applying for an increased driving privileges driving license (except for the BE trailer test).

You must choose a driving instructor and a driving school before you submit the application.

ISK 8600 must be paid. for the applications and their validity period is 2 years.
