Is a connecting flight counted as one or two routes?
Such flights shall be considered as one route.
An example of one flight route is a flight from Akureyri to Reykjavík, or from Grímsey to Reykjavík with a connecting flight via Akureyri Airport. The same applies to flights from Þórshöfn to Reykjavík and from Vopnafjörður to Reykjavík, where there is a stopover landing in Akureyri.
