In order to use Loftbrú, it is best to sign in with electronic identification at  Ísland.is It will then immediately become clear whether the person is entitled to Loftbrú. There you can also see an overview of how many flight legs are left to be used. Those who want to take advantage of the discount will receive a special discount code that is used on airline booking sites. 

If a user does not have an electronic ID, it is possible to apply for a discount code from the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration (IRCA). Processing discount codes takes 2 – 14 days and processing time depends on the delivery method.  If self-service on Ísland.is is not used, a code can be requested in the following manner: 

• Through the IRCA's suggestion system at www.vegagerdin.is. 

• With an application form sent by mail to the IRCA. The form can be found on the IRCA website.
