The digital application is now available at Ísland.is.

The family physician confirms the need for a parking card and sends the medical certificate electronically to a district commissioner. Next, you log in to the application with your electronic ID and fill out the application for a parking card.

During the application process you have to choose:

• whether a photo is downloaded from the driver's license file or a new one is uploaded

• whether to send the card home or pick it up at the selected commissioner's office.

Make sure that you have gotten an electronic medical certificate before filling out the application, otherwise the following error will appear; "Could not retrieve data".
