Administration of Occupational Safety and Health: Work protection
What should be considered regarding workplace lighting?
When employees are, or may be, at risk of exposure to artificial optical radiation in the course of their work, the employer must ensure their safety and health in relation to such exposure.
It is important to provide comfortable general lighting and the option of special lighting or increasing brightness according to individual needs.
Further information on lighting, as well as guidance for conducting a risk assessment regarding lighting levels, can be found here.
