Application takes place in two steps, the dates refer to the first step
Sprout (Sproti) is a business grant intended to support projects in their beginning stages.
The grant can be up to ISK 20 million over a two-year period, but may not exceed ISK 10 million per year.
No matching funding from the recipient is required.
The maximum length of the project is 2 years.
Who can apply?
Start-up companies and entrepreneurs.
How to apply
Application is a two-step process. A positive assessment on the first step is necessary in order to be able to submit a complete application in the second step.
Applications are submitted online through the Rannís application portal.
A project description is required in the first step. In opening the application on the web portal an application template is provided.
Only applications receiving an evaluation of A1 or A2 in the first step may complete the application with step 2.

An excel help file is available which can simplify creation of a cost estimate. That file itself does not need to be send with the application, but the numbers calculated there need to be submitted in the appropriate sections of the second stage of the application (sections 3.2 and 3.3).
