Marketing grants to small and mid-sized companies working in research and development. The grants are in two categories, for different stages of product preparation for the market.

  • Marketing grants come in two categories: market development and campaigns.

  • The grant can be up to ISK 10 million.

  • Matching funds of a minimum of 50% are required.

  • Maximum project length is 1 year.

Who can apply?

Marketing grants are only for small and mid-sized companies which have invested a minimum of 10% of operating revenue in research and development during the most recent fiscal year.

How to apply

Applications are submitted online through the Rannís application portal.

Applicants must submit at a minimum attachments for the fields Project Description and Calculations. Templates for those can be found in the application portal once the application form has been created.

An excel help file is available which can simplify creation of a cost estimate. That file itself does not need to be send with the application, but the numbers calculated there need to be submitted in the appropriate sections of the second stage of the application (sections 3.2 and 3.3).
