Icelandic Research Fund Doctoral student grant

Applicants must have an approved doctoral project (with or without reservations/conditions regarding funding) at an Icelandic university, and a certificate to that effect from the postgraduate studies committee of the relevant faculty/school, or equivalent, must be attached to the application.

Applications are submitted via the Rannís application portal. A project description on the doctoral student grant template and other supporting documents must be submitted in accordance with the handbook.

Applications must be in English.
