Escapes from fish farms

Fish escaping from a farm shall be reported by aquaculture operator to the Directorate of Fisheries, the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority, respective municipalities and Freshwater Fisheries Associations.

In such circumstances, the aquaculture operator should also immediately activate its escapes contingency plan.
