EEA and Norway Grants
The EEA Grants support cooperation projects between Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein and fifteen beneficiary countries in Europe. The aim of the fund is to reduce economic and social disparities and to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Icelandic entities can participate in projects as partners through open calls published in the beneficiary countries, across fields such as research, innovation, education, culture and the green transition.
Rannís is a Donor Programme Partner for the EEA Grants and has a special responsibility for informing Icelandic entities about the opportunities that exist.
EEA Grants support projects carried out in cooperation between entities in beneficiary countries and the donor countries (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein). Applications are submitted by organisations in the beneficiary countries, while Icelandic participants take part as project partners.
Projects are selected through open calls and cover a range of fields, including research and innovation, education, culture, social development and the green transition.
