Change in participation in operation of a fishing vessel

A change in ownership of a fishing vessel or other change in the operating party of a fishing vessel that holds a commercial fishing license must be reported to the Directorate of Fisheries within 15 days of the contract being signed.

Signing the notification

A notification of a change in the operating party must be jointly signed by the following parties:

• The seller and the buyer, in the case of a sale.

• The lessor and the lessee, in the case of a lease.

Supporting documents

• A dated copy of the purchase agreement

• A dated copy of the registered lease agreement with a specified validity period

• A declaration of the size of the foreign party's share in the fishing operation or limited company

• Other documents
