Afhentir voru 33 styrkir úr Vísindasjóði Landspítala. Fimm fengu Hvatningastyrki sem hljóðuðu upp á 6 milljónir hver á ári í þrjú ár en almennu styrkirnir, sem voru alls 27, hljóðuðu upp á 2 milljónir hver á ári í allt að þrjú ár.
