At all inspection stations, passenger cars and smaller trailers are inspected, but different services are available depending on the location.
Heavier cars and trailers, motorcycles and tractors can be inspected at certain inspection stations. You must contact the inspection body to see if and where such vehicles can be inspected.

Monitoring of the activities of inspection bodies
The accreditation authority shall audit and monitor the activities of inspection bodies. Samgongustofa also supervises the conduct of inspections and carries out statistical audits.
Comments or complaints about the inspection body's work
Comments and complaints shall be addressed to the inspection body concerned. Samgongustofa may take such cases to further consideration if the conditions are met.
