Service for applicants for international protection

Applicants for international protection are entitled to the services of a legal advocate at lower and higher administrative levels. While applicants wait for a response to an application for protection, they are available. Pregnant women should have access to maternity and childbirth care, and children who apply for protection should have the opportunity to study.

The Directorate of Labour operates general services for applicants for international protection while their cases are being processed. The Directorate of Immigration does not operate any residence arrangements for applicants for international protection or other foreigners.

The right to service shall in general be suspended eight weeks after the granting of protection, 30 days after the final decision on refusal or three days after the applicant has withdrawn his/her application. More information.
