The importance of wearing a seat belt during pregnancy
Seat belts are without a doubt one of the most important safety equipment for cars and it is important to use seat belts in the rear, such as in the front seat, in buses and taxis.
These belts are to be tightly wrapped around the body .
Care must be taken not to twist, loose or wear them.
A belt which is over the shoulder, must not be placed under the arm or behind the back.
The abdominal belt should be over the hip, but not over the stomach.
In most cars the height of the belt can be adjusted and it is important to adjust it so that the belt falls comfortably to the shoulder at the neck. Care must be taken not to tilt the seats too far backwards as safety belts may not function adequately.
