Digital Iceland projects received seven nominations for the Icelandic Web Awards 2025.

The European Union has opened applications for the Digital Europe Programme. The programme supports projects related to artificial intelligence, digital solutions, and data infrastructures.

Digital Iceland continues to develop and improve digital solutions with regular updates on both core services and individual digital services. With the latest update we introduce both new functionality and additions and fixes aimed at increasing security, improving user experience and simplifying service processes for both individuals and companies.

The Directorate of Fisheries, the Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority, and the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute have been collaborating on research and fishing of suspected farmed salmon in several rivers in recent days.

We are absolutely delighted with the excellent turnout at HSN’s first Science and Education Day, which was held yesterday. Around 150 people attended in person, and an additional 30 joined via livestream.

The Directorate of Health is currently conducting a survey on health literacy among adults. This is the first time health literacy has been surveyed holistically nationwide in Iceland.
