Status Assessment and Options for Shaping Public Service Policy are now under consultation in the Icelandic governments Consultation Portal (samráðsgátt).

In celebration of World Mental Health Day on October 10, the staff of the psychiatric day and outpatient unit opened their doors and invited visitors to learn about the department’s work, equipment, and facilities. It is estimated that over one hundred guests visited us on this occasion.

The operations of Akureyri Hospital (SAk) yielded a positive result of ISK 189 million in 2024, despite a cumulative deficit at the beginning of the year. This was stated in the Chief Financial Officer’s presentation at the hospital’s Annual General Meeting on May 27.
