The Social Affairs Minister’s bill on temporary support for wages due to natural disasters in Grindavík was approved by the Icelandic parliament, Althingi, on 27 November.

A Nordic point-of-sight conference was held from 25 - 26 October at the Blind Society's house in Hamrahlíð 17. Participants from Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden attended the conference, as well as several participants from Teams.

In May, two papers were published by Hólmfríður Þóroddsdóttir, Fríða, who works here at the Communication Centre. Both papers were based on her Master’s degree from the University of Iceland and discussed the preparation of sign language interpreters for their assignments.
