The digital advancement of the Nordic countries, the Baltic states and the United States is the topic of discussion at Connecting States 2023.

In October the final steps were taken with regard to processing the interdisciplinary tendering of software teams in partnership with Ríkiskaup (Central Public Procurement). A major milestone in digitizing the process of learning has to drive is now being achieved with the activation of the digital driving study book by the Icelandic Transportation Authority.

Great participation from a large number of participants was at the GEV workshop on quality criteria in social services. A lot of work was done and lively discussions took place which will be a contribution to the improvement of the service.

TR will host a streamed seminar on pensions on Wednesday 13 March from 16.00 – 17.30. The seminar title is Everything about old-age pensions – it doesn’t have to be complicated. The meeting will cover everything related to applications for old-age pensions from TR, payment arrangements and more.

Last week, the first digital indictment was issued for traffic violations and in the following weeks, the first summon was sent through the Digital Mailbox.
