Day care for children includes the stay of children with the day carer in the home from 7:00 - 19:00 on weekdays for professional purposes.
A home for day care can be rented provided the facilities are not inferior to those in a private home and the housing is suitable for day care.
Application process
Applicant Applies for Permit to GEV
GEV checks if the necessary information and data is included in the application
GEV sends a request for comment to the municipality and the municipal fire control department
Municipality returns a comment to GEV
The GEV takes a decision on the case and informs the applicant and the municipality of the result.
Application supporting documents
Authorisation for obtaining a criminal record certificate for all household members 15 years of age and older. Print out the form and fill it out
Medical certificate from a GP confirming the physical and mental health of the applicant and other household members
Confirmation of attendance at a day-career course or certification of training in the field of parenting (if new application)
A temporary permit may be granted even if the applicant has not completed a course for daycare parents. However, it is required that the applicant has completed a course in first aid for children
Copy of the Health Committee's authorization (if you intend to accommodate 6 children or more)
Day care parents must apply for a license to work themselves to the Health Committee of the municipality in which the day care center operates.
Approval of the landlord (if day care is operated in a rental building)
