28 May – Parliamentary resolution approved.
A public referendum will take place on 29 August 2026.22 July – Reference date for the electoral roll.
The electoral roll includes those who meet the requirements to vote in elections.24 July – Electoral roll published.
Voters can look up whether and where they are registered to vote in the upcoming elections here.27 July – Election day announced.
The National Electoral Commission announces the public referendum.27 July – Early voting begins.
Voters who cannot vote on election day may vote early.No later than 8 August – Electoral register made available.
The electoral roll must be accessible at the municipal office or another suitable location.With sufficient notice – Polling place information published.
Each municipality must announce its polling stations and opening hours with sufficient notice, in the manner customary for public notices in that municipality.29 August – Election day.
