If you believe your ticket is not valid, you can dispute it.
It is important to act quickly to avoid extra fees or further collection actions.
You can find the date of the violation in the notice you got in the Iceland.is mailbox or by mail.
Information to provide
When you send your objection, you need to provide the following information:
your name and nationa identification number
contact information, such as phone number and email address
car license plate number
case number, found on the tichet
A detailed explanation of why you believe you shouldn't have received the ticket. If you have any evidence to support your case, like documents or photos, be sure to include them.
You should send your objection to the police department that issued the ticket.
