Traffic signals
A new regulation (no. 250/2024) on Traffic signs and their usage came into action on March 1st 2024.
A new classification system is introduced that is based on numbers instead of letters before. New categories, priority and special rule marks, are introduced and various other categories are merged.
New categories are shown below, and under each category, the changes that have occurred within the category are shown:
Four new warning labels are introduced. Signals 115, 149 and 153 are expected to be used primarily as variable traffic signals when applicable:

Road traffic signals warning animals are now combined into one mark, 146 Animals, and the appropriate image of an animal may be used. The Regulation gives six examples, but this list is not exhaustive:
Waiting signals are moved from the warning signal category to the priority signal category.
A new category of priority signs is introduced, which stipulates the priority of traffic, including at junctions.
One new logo.
Other labels are moving from other categories to this one.

Information tags are now only for the information of road users, but no longer provide for invitations and prohibitions. Many signals that were previously information signals are transferred to the category of special rule marks.

The Road sign requiring a road tax ceases to be used and the 659 Electronic fee tag will presumably be used instead.

Road signs for cycle paths and cycle routes are green and when applicable, the wheel marks in the colour of the cycle route
The Road Guide Travellers' Route is deleted. The predicted increase in the number of tourist routes would result in a substantial increase in the number of unwanted road traffic signals if all of them were marked separately.
The number of service marks declines by about one-seventh. There remains emergency services and other important services for vehicular traffic as well as other selected signals. This is primarily done to reduce the number of unnecessary road traffic signals.

Other marks are marked with minor changes to the category.
Red and white check shields and slates shall be used in the construction areas, but otherwise yellow and black shall be used.
Two new construction marks are formally adopted, which are used for construction projects.

Changing warning and prohibition signs
Certain warning signs and prohibition signs may be used as variable signs.
The yellow color changes to black and the black color to white.
Older traffic signals remain in effect until they are removed or replaced.
