The Icelandic Transportation Authority has now opened the registration page www.flydrone.is where drone operators have the option of registering, studying course material and taking an examination in subcategory A1/A3 for the open category. After successfully completing an examination, the applicant will be issued with an attestation of competence valid in all EU Member States.

The registration fee is based on hourly charge of services by the Icelandic Transportation Authority and is ISK 5,500 per registration.

After registration, the A1/A3 examination can be taken free of charge.
