Electronic reception of aviation personnel licence applications - simpler and more convenient

From 1 January 2025, applications for aviation personnel licences will only be accepted electronically.
Applications can be made through the Icelandic Transport Authority website.
In addition, applications can be sent electronically via email:
Applications for pilots and air traffic controller licences: fcl@icetra.is.
Applications related to Part-66 aircraft maintenance licences: part66@icetra.is. Note that the original of the earlier licence must be submitted to the Icelandic Transport Authority for renewal or endorsement. A new licence can not be submitted until the original has been received.
Applications for individual licences will no longer be accepted on paper. This change is a step towards a digital future and will save time and effort.
