Due to ongoing search and rescue operations in Grindavík, the Icelandic Transport Authority has, at the request of the Police Commissioner at Suðurnes district, prohibited drone flights over and around Grindavík, other than flights directly related to the operations. The ban is valid until and including Sunday 14.01.2024. Exemption requests shall be submitted to Police Commissioner at Suðurnes district.
