The Courts

Judges

District courts usually have one judge, the Court of Appeal has three judges and the Supreme Court five judges.

Judge’s Clothing

Judges always wear robes during courtroom sessions. They underline the impartiality of judges. The robes differ in appearance depending on the court level.

Dissatisfaction with judges

A complaint can be sent to the Committee on Judicial Work if someone believes a judge has treated him/her unfairly in their work. If the reason is dissatisfied with the judge’s verdict the verdict must be appealed to a higher court instead of sending a complaint to the Committee.
