December supplement for parents of chronically ill or severely disabled children

Parents of chronically ill or severely disabled children who received parental payments in December have been paid a December supplement.
The December bonus is ISK 84,490 for parents who have received a monthly allowance throughout the year 2025. A parent who has received this allowance for less than twelve months in 2025 is entitled to a proportional bonus corresponding to the period for which the parent has received the allowance during the year. However, the bonus will never be less than ISK 21,123.
The December bonus is paid on the basis of the Regulation on December bonuses to parents of chronically ill or severely disabled children in 2025.
