The Department of Education and Science at the Hospital in Akureyri organized an ambitious program in celebration of the Day of Nursing last week. The title was We do so much, much more, and thus referred to the many special projects that nurses in the wards carry out alongside their clinical work.

“We are extremely pleased with the day and the fantastic lectures we had. It is invaluable to get insight into the diverse work of nurses and thus learn from each other,” said Hrafnhildur Lilja Jónsdóttir, nurse specialist and director of education at the department of education and science.

About 50 people attended the seminar, which was also streamed on Teams. After the program ended, coffee and light refreshments were offered in the premises of the Department of Education and Science and visitors could view the new classroom space on the connecting corridor on the 3rd floor of SAk.
