Symposium on Patient Safety Day

Today, September 17 at 1:00 PM, the Directorate of Health is hosting a symposium on the International Patient Safety Day. Among the speakers is Bergþór Steinn Jónsson, emergency physician at Akureyri Hospital (SAk), who will deliver a presentation entitled 'Challenges in the Assessment and Treatment of Acute Illnesses and Injuries in Children'."

This year’s theme is Safe Health Care for All Children and Newborns.
The symposium is organized by the Directorate of Health’s Advisory Board on Patient Safety, in collaboration with various health professionals and health service users.
