The project is the first phase of construction works at SAk related to the hospital’s expansion to the south, where parking spaces are currently located. As part of this expansion, new parking areas will be created and utility systems on the site between Þórunnarstræti and Búðartröð will be renewed.

“It is very encouraging that two bids were submitted for this first tender related to the new building at SAk. This is truly a long-awaited project, and it is important for us to see that construction is about to begin,” says Gunnar Líndal, project manager at SAk.
