Elma Rún, a specialist in pediatric nursing, has dedicated her career to the care of acutely ill children. She has worked for many years in the pediatric ward at SAk and has also been involved in teaching at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Akureyri. Elma is an adjunct lecturer at the University and is a passionate advocate for improving the hospital environment for children and enhancing the quality of pediatric nursing through education and research. She has played a leading role in the development and teaching of pediatric resuscitation and has been actively involved in implementing courses in advanced resuscitation for children and newborns. Elma Rún serves on the board of the Icelandic Resuscitation Council and the resuscitation committee at SAk.
