Hilda Jana holds a B.Ed. degree in general education and a diploma in media and communication studies from the University of Akureyri. She also holds an MA degree in journalism and a diploma in public administration from the University of Iceland.
She has extensive experience in both media and public administration. In recent months, she has served as Acting Communications Officer at SAk. Hilda Jana has been a member of the municipal council of Akureyri and has served on numerous boards, committees, and councils on behalf of the municipality. She was previously the CEO and TV director at N4 and has worked as a news and program producer for outlets such as RÚV and Stöð 2.
