Sara Mist Gautadóttir, Clinical Nutritionist, has been appointed as Chief Clinical Nutritionist at SAk. The position was advertised for applications last September.

Sara Mist completed her master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Iceland in 2024. She is no stranger to the staff and patients at SAk, as she has worked here both as a master’s student in clinical nutrition and later in a temporary position.

The role of Chief Clinical Nutritionist includes providing nutritional care within the hospital, working on specialized projects related to nutrition and nutritional therapies, as well as offering outpatient services.

Sara Mist works closely with Rakel Ósk Björnsdóttir, nurse, who in recent years has been responsible for nutrition-related nursing at SAk and is an important part of the nutrition team.
