Several days ago, the Cancer Society of Akureyri and the surrounding area, gifted the ambulatory ward with three new treatment chairs and three side tables.

The chairs are just as the ones the ward uses so now 16 such chairs are in use and they fulfill all safety requirements in case of emergency. The medications given on the ward are very different in length and can last from one hour to eight hours.

Blood and cancer treatments have increased dramatically in recent years, so this donation was welcome.
