The pharmaceutical price list exchange rate is used to calculate the prices published in the pharmaceutical price list.

The pharmaceutical price list exchange rate is based on the official reference exchange rate of the Central Bank of Iceland four days prior to the effective date of the price list, with an additional markup applied. It is published on the Icelandic Medicines Agency's website on the same day. The pharmaceutical price list exchange rate takes effect on the first day of each month.
