The Healthcare Institution of North Iceland has hired Árni Kári Torfason as director of information technology.

Árni holds a B.Sc. in Management Science from a Computer and Information Technology (IT), diploma in Public Administration and is currently a Master's student in Public Administration.

Árni has worked for ten years as the director of the IT department at Akureyri Hospital, where he was in charge of the administration and operation of the IT department, the operation of the hospital´s computer systems and health records systems for healthcare institutions in North Iceland. In addition, he has been responsible for policy formulation, development and projects in the fields of technology and information and has extensive experience in operations and management from previous positions.

Árni will join HSN on November 7th.
