Every movement counts in Motion for life (Lífshlaupið). Most of us spend a large part of the day at work, so it matters that workplaces support the health and well‑being of their staff. HSN has implemented a health‑promoting workplace policy and encourages various forms of physical activity, including through fitness subsidies.

A good group of HSN employees in Akureyri has recently been practicing Yoga Trapeze under the guidance of Arna Björg Sævarsdóttir, certified Yoga Trapeze instructor and nurse at HSN in Akureyri.

In Yoga Trapeze, exercises are performed using a swing and handles that support the body in a variety of positions*. Participants mention increased strength, improved flexibility, deeper stretches, traction for the lumbar spine, and a floating relaxation as benefits of practicing Yoga Trapeze. Many find that Yoga Trapeze is a good complement to other forms of training, such as running or other activities.
