Kristín Margrét Gylfadóttir Appointed New Regional Head Nurse for HSN in Fjallabyggð and Dalvík

She holds a BSc degree in nursing from the University of Akureyri and a master’s degree in leadership and management with an emphasis on human resource management.

Kristín Margrét Gylfadóttir has been appointed Regional Head Nurse for HSN in Fjallabyggð and Dalvík. She holds a BSc degree in nursing from the University of Akureyri and a master’s degree in leadership and management with an emphasis on human resource management.

Kristín Margrét has extensive management experience within healthcare services, both in Iceland and abroad. She has served as Head Nurse at the Kristnes Hospital and as Service Manager for Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine at Akureyri Hospital for the past seven years, in addition to working for several years in Norway.

“I place strong emphasis on teamwork, quality improvement, and service development, as well as fostering a professional working environment. I am also particularly interested in how innovation and technological solutions can support strong and safe healthcare services, and I have contributed to the implementation of diverse projects in that field,” says Kristín Margrét.

Kristín Margrét was born and raised in Ólafsfjörður and recently moved back there with her family. In her free time, she finds joy in creativity, physical activity, and spending time with her family.

Her personal motto is: To learn, create, and grow in harmony with people, nature, and life itself—with an open mind and a creative vision.

Kristín Margrét will assume her new role as Regional Head Nurse in Fjallabyggð and Dalvík on March 1st. We warmly welcome her to our strong and dedicated team.
