Increased satisfaction with the services of the Healthcare Institution of North Iceland

10th October 2025

The latest results from the service survey show that HSN continues to strengthen its services and build trust among residents in the region.

In mid-May, a service survey was launched with the aim of assessing the service experience of clients who seek healthcare services from us, and identifying areas in need of improvement. The survey is part of the annual government service evaluation conducted by the Prime Minister’s Office of Iceland.

The latest results from the survey show that HSN continues to strengthen its services and build trust among residents in the region.

Satisfaction with the service has never been higher – 91% of respondents rated it as very good or fairly good, and the overall score has increased year over year.

Staff attitude also received exceptional feedback, with 78% of respondents rating it as very good.

The reliability of information and speed of service have also seen significant improvements month over month.

“These positive results reflect the coordinated efforts of HSN staff across all our service locations to provide efficient, warm, and professional care. Praise, as well as suggestions for improvement, are extremely valuable – they help us make good even better and strengthen our continued progress. We are grateful to everyone who took the time to respond to the survey,” says Jón Helgi Björnsson, CEO of HSN.

The survey is still ongoing. It is a real-time measurement, and those who visit health centers will receive an SMS after their appointment inviting them to participate. Clients in hospital and nursing units can also take part.

Survey results are available on the website of the Prime Minister’s Office.
