Eydís became department manager of Sæborg in 2020 and a year later took on the role of Director of Nursing at the facility. She held that position until Sæborg merged with HSN on May 1st.

Eydís graduated with a B.Sc. in Nursing from the University of Akureyri in 2011, and in 2024 she completed a postgraduate diploma in public administration with a focus on health sciences. She brings extensive experience from the healthcare sector and has pursued both work and education opportunities in Iceland and abroad.
