Hollvina Association delivers HSA CPR manikins to promote education and safety
9th December 2025
The Health Care Association of Fljótsdalshérað (HHF) has delivered twelve resuscitation manikins to nurses at the East Iceland Health Institute (HSA) for use in teaching and training in first aid and resuscitation.
The donation is intended for regular education for students in primary and secondary schools in East Iceland as well as for all health care workers in the region. It creates more opportunities for targeted teaching in life-saving first aid and thus strengthens the prevention work and response capacity of the community. It is estimated that the donation will benefit around 480 HSA employees and over 5,000 students in East Iceland who will receive training in the correct first aid procedures with this equipment.
With the donation, it is hoped to increase the safety of the residents of East Iceland and the Hollvinasamtokkin will thus contribute to improving health care and preparedness in the region.
The East Iceland Health Institute would like to thank the Hollvinasamtokkin for health care in Fljótsdalshérað for this noble and extremely important gift that will be used well in education and prevention work in East Iceland.
