The HSA Rehabilitation Department received a gift for Ásbjörn R. Ásbjörnsson (Rammi), on the day. 03.10 ’53 - d. 21.12 ´22. There are two combination hand and foot wheels, for example, that are good for wheelchair access, but they are equipped with auxiliary motors that help with movement even though they have little strength or mobility. The bikes will be located in the HSA rehabilitation ward in Egilsstaðir and Neskaupstaður, but they suit a very wide group of individuals and they are popular enough that they are usually queued in the equipment room.

Rammi was a great social being and loved talking to people. He listened to a lot of music of various kinds and often his hands took off as if he were controlling the rhythm. Rammi would have been seventy on 3 October at least (if it had lived).

The gift will therefore be of great use to the Institute and will give sincere thanks for the goodwill and support that the contribution involves.
